In preparation for your registration date, I am providing you with a few helpful hints.
1. If you plan to take a CLEP exam but have not done so yet, do it now. Waiting too long can affect your course plans for next semester. For instance: You must have credit for English in your first year. If you wait too long and fail the CLEP, then you won’t have credit if you hadn’t signed up for it in Spring or Summer.
2. Your advisor has uploaded planning documents and checklists to Navigate with details on your plans for the upcoming semester. Please check there before signing up for classes to make sure you follow the plan. You will also find your registration pin in the notes on Navigate. To find this information, Login to Navigate, then go to the “reports” tab to see all the files and notes about your upcoming semester.
3. If you need to select a liberal studies course (C1-C5 and P1-P6), you should choose them from this list.
https://www.wcu.edu/_files/academic-enrichment/liberal-studies-checksheet-fall.pdf
4. If you are taking ENGR 350, you MUST submit an override request and Dr. Stone give you access to a particular section. You can find the link to the override request for this on his advising page: https://sites.google.com/view/set-advising
5. To register for classes, log into my.wcu.edu You should see a section in the middle called “Student Records & Accounts that looks like this:
Selecting “Add/Drop/Withdraw” will bring you to the following screen:
Selecting “Register – Add/Drop/Withdraw” should then bring you to the scheduling search tool where you can search for your course numbers.
If you have any questions or issues, please email your faculty advisor.
Special thanks to Peyton for the screenshots of the student view of the registration pages!
