I proposed the Center for the Study of Free Enterprise in the Fall of 2015. The Board of Trustees approved the Center in December 2015, and in September, 2016, the University entered an agreement with the Charles Koch Foundation to provide a $1.8 million over five years to fund the Center. During the 2016-17 academic year, the Center was established through a process jointly determined by administration and faculty.
