Lindsey worked with our group to study how combustible fuel can be produced from organic waste. She created computational models to characterize the performance of a small scale biodigester (anaerobic digestor) located at the Jackson County Green Energy Park (JCEP). Using this model she predicted the amount of methane produced over time, the percentage of methane (CH4) in the biogas and how other factors contribute to methane production.
